What most people haven't clocked yet is what comes next: starting this Friday, September 4, the team leaves town for a road trip to Ashford, and Lake Drive goes quiet for longer than it stays busy.

What the Schedule Actually Does

Pull up the official schedule from Eufaula City Schools and the pattern is right there, but you have to look at it as a sequence, not a list, to see it.

Two home games to open. Then, across the seven Fridays from September 4 through October 16, only two of them bring the Tigers back to Lake Drive. Five of the next seven weeks, the team is somewhere else: Ashford, New Brockton, Stanhope Elmore, Headland, Andalusia. September 18 is a single home night wedged into that stretch, and then the town waits another four weeks before the lights come back on for good, on Senior Night against Straughn.

September 18 against Dale County is the lone home date in the middle of the run, a single Friday where Lake Drive gets loud again before going quiet for three more weeks. Treat it as the exception it is rather than the start of a new pattern.

October 16 is the one worth circling for a different reason. It's the second home date in that seven-week stretch, and the schedule marks it as Senior Night against Straughn, the game where the program recognizes its graduating players before what is, for many of them, their final regular-season snap on that field. Senior Night carries a different weight than a regular home date. Families who've been coming to Tiger Stadium since their kids were in youth league are there for that one specifically, and it tends to draw a fuller stadium than a mid-season game against an unfamiliar opponent would.
